ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Drafting Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in BESS, solar PV, wind, and hybrid renewable energy projects. The role requires proficiency in EPLAN Electric P8, Zuken E3.series, and AutoCAD Electrical, with the ability to deliver high-quality electrical drawing packages across the full project lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop complete electrical drawing packages: SLDs, schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and control panel layouts for BESS and renewable energy projects.
- Produce BESS-specific deliverables: battery container layouts, PCS/inverter interconnections, BMS interface schematics, and MV transformer documentation.
- Support solar PV and wind project design — string wiring, combiner box schematics, and MV collector system drawings.
- Create and revise protection relay schematics, AC/DC distribution boards, earthing & bonding layouts, and auxiliary control circuits.
- Coordinate with vendors to incorporate equipment data (switchgear, protection relays, inverters, SCADA/EMS) into drawings.
- Liaise with engineers, project managers, and clients; participate in design reviews and maintain drawing registers and document control records.
- Perform peer reviews and maintain version control to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery per project schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
- 5–7 years of electrical drafting experience in an EPC, engineering consultancy, or utility environment.
- Minimum 3 years direct experience on BESS, solar PV, wind, or hybrid renewable energy projects.
- Proven delivery of HV/MV/LV drawing packages across multiple concurrent projects.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- EPLAN Electric P8 (macros, parts, reports)
- Zuken E3.series – E3.schematic, E3.cable, E3.panel (hands-on)
- AutoCAD Electrical / AutoCAD
- Document management: Aconex, ProjectWise (preferred)
- BESS architecture: racks, PCS, MV transformers, BMS
- SLD, protection schematics, control wiring
- IEC 60617 / 61439 / 62271, AS 3000, IEEE standards
- IFC / IFR document workflows
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Zuken E3.series advanced modules: E3.formboard, E3.logic.
- SCADA/EMS interface drawings; communication network diagrams (Modbus, IEC 61850).
- 3D plant design tools: Aveva E3D, SmartPlant, or Revit MEP.
- Experience on Asia-Pacific, Middle East, or European renewable energy markets.
