Role Summary: -
Responsible for assembly operations on aircraft structures/components. Role requires precision drilling, riveting, and sealant application as per engineering drawings and aerospace standards.
Key responsibilities & duties:
1. Drilling: Perform precision drilling on metallic/composite parts using hand tools, drill jigs, and CNC as per tolerance ±0.1mm.
2. Riveting: Install solid rivets, lock bolts, Hi-Loks using pneumatic tools. Ensure proper shop head formation and no defects.
3. Sealant Application: Mix and apply polysulfide/fuel tank sealants for faying surface, fillet, and fillet seal as per spec BAC5000/MIL-S-81733.
4. Assembly: Read engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions for part positioning and shimming.
5. Quality: Do self-inspection, deburr holes, check for cracks, chips, and FOD control.
6. Documentation: Fill job cards, traceability logs, and non-conformance reports.
7. Safety & 5S: Use PPE, handle sealants/chemicals safely, maintain tool calibration and clean work area.
Academic or trade qualifications
1. ITI Fitter/Mechanic/Aeronautical or 3-5 yrs exp in aircraft/aerospace assembly
2. Hands-on with pneumatic drills, rivet guns, bucking bars, sealant guns
3. Knowledge of drilling patterns, countersinking, reaming, cold working
4. Ability to read aerospace drawings, BOMs, and process specs
5. Basic knowledge of sealant cure times, mixing ratios, shelf life
1. Experience in Airbus/Boeing/BEL/HAL/L&T/NAL assembly lines
2. NADCAP sealant + special processes awareness
3. AS9100, FOD, ESD compliance training
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
