The Role
As a Senior Process Engineer with Worley , you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to support offshore oil & gas projects, responsible for leading process engineering activities across all project phases. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to deliver high-quality engineering solutions in line with project requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute process engineering deliverables for offshore projects (concept, FEED, detailed engineering).
- Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and process calculations.
- Perform and supervise process simulations, heat & material balance calculations, and optimization studies.
- Prepare and review process design basis, philosophies, and specifications.
- Conduct or support HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and other process safety studies.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (piping, mechanical, instrumentation, electrical).
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and review their deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, international codes/standards (API, ASME, ISO), and company procedures.
- Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, and design reviews.
- Support proposal engineering and estimation activities when required.
- Identify risks, propose mitigation measures, and ensure timely project delivery.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in process engineering, with strong exposure to offshore oil & gas projects.
- Proven experience in FEED and detailed engineering phases.
- Strong knowledge of process design, equipment sizing, and offshore systems.
- Experience in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, UniSim).
- Good understanding of process safety and risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience working on international offshore projects.
- Exposure to brownfield modifications and debottlenecking studies.
- Familiarity with digital engineering tools and workflows.
- Ability to mentor teams and drive engineering quality.
