Role: Direct the day-to-day operations of a precast floating concrete pontoon manufacturing facility at Ghodbunder, Thane. Person will be responsible for the end-to-end production of floating concrete pontoons, managing yard logistics, overseeing QA/QC, and ensuring structural and safety compliance up to the final transportation stage including repairs post installation.
Production Operations & Planning
· Manage the entire precast manufacturing cycle from mould preparation, reinforcement placement, and concrete pouring to curing and demoulding.
· Coordinate the placement of embedded items (lifting hooks, sleeves, foundation base plates, connection boxes and conduits) according to approved shop drawings.
· Set production schedules to meet project deadlines and optimize resource allocation.
· Ensure proper inventory management and flow of finished elements from the yard to the installation site.
· Support procurement teams
· Organise and coordinate with various NABL test labs.
· Vendor management and relations
· Clear ability to understand and interpret drawings and design
· Manpower supervision and management
· Coordination with third party accreditation / inspection agency and liaison (IIT / Indian Registrar of Shipping) etc.
2. Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC)
· Enforce strict quality control standards, including dimensional checks, surface finishes, and structural integrity.
· Coordinate with batching plants to maintain correct mix designs, slump, and concrete temperatures.
· Implement corrective actions for defects such as honeycombing or spalling and minimize rejection rates.
· Maintain compliance with relevant structural and manufacturing
· Good knowledge of applicable and relevant IS and International Codes
3. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
· Enforce site safety regulations, especially concerning heavy lifting, segment handling, and crane operations.
· Conduct regular safety briefings and hazard identification.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant yard layout to prevent accidents and improve workflow.
4. Team Leadership & Resource Management
· Supervise, train, and mentor yard staff, and skilled/unskilled laborers.
· Oversee plant and equipment maintenance to minimize operational downtime.
· Manage labor deployments and coordinate with subcontractors or crane operators.
5. Reporting & Stakeholder Management
· Prepare routine (daily, weekly, monthly) progress reports on output, quality, and costs for senior management.
· Interface with clients, structural consultants, and project planners to resolve design
· clashes and address technical challenges.
Qualifications & Requirements
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
· Experience: Typically 4-5 years in civil construction, with majority of years in hands-on precast floating concrete pontoon manufacturing or precast concrete building projects / any pre-cast construction project which involves heavy use of Expended Polystyrene
· Technical Skills: Deep understanding of concrete technology, structural detailing, precast erection sequencing, and reading shop drawings.
· Soft Skills: Strong communication, conflict resolution, and the ability to operate well under strict construction timelines.
Work Days General: Monday to Friday (9.30-5.30) and two Saturdays in a month off.
Work days during casting activity: as required by production / casting schedule

CTC : Up to 12 lac per annum
Pay: Up to ₹1,200,000.00 per year
