Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in machines to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
- Install, maintain, and service electrical control panels, power distribution panels, MCC panels, and machine wiring.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, circuit schematics, and technical manuals.
- Diagnose faults in PLC-controlled machines and assist in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and modification activities.
- Monitor and maintain PLC systems, HMI interfaces, sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, servo drives, and other automation components.
- Perform testing, calibration, and commissioning of electrical and automation equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning of machine safety interlocks, emergency stop circuits, and protection devices.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical panels, cables, motors, and control systems to identify potential issues.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, machine breakdowns, repairs, and spare parts consumption.
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams to improve machine reliability and operational efficiency.
- Assist in installation, relocation, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Maintain adequate inventory of electrical spare parts and maintenance tools.
- Follow all electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend modifications to enhance machine performance and reduce downtime.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of Industrial Electrical Systems.
- Hands-on experience with Electrical Control Panels and Power Distribution Systems.
- Working knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Delta, Omron, etc.).
- Knowledge of HMI, VFD, Servo Drives, Sensors, and Industrial Automation Systems.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and control panel schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Familiarity with electrical safety practices and preventive maintenance procedures.
Qualification
- ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Equivalent Technical Qualification.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance of industrial machinery and automation systems (or as per company requirement).
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹29,906.78 per month
