JOB SUMMARY
Catalyst Education is looking for an experienced and student-focused Senior Academic Counsellor to guide students and parents in selecting the right educational programs while driving admissions and achieving counselling targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Counsel students and parents regarding courses, programs, career opportunities, and admission processes.
- Understand student requirements and recommend suitable programs.
- Handle qualified leads through calls, WhatsApp, and direct counselling.
- Convert prospective students into confirmed admissions.
- Follow up with leads and maintain a healthy conversion pipeline.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly admission targets.
- Handle student and parent queries professionally.
- Maintain accurate lead and counselling records in CRM.
- Support junior counsellors with counselling and conversion techniques.
- Share feedback with the sales and academic teams regarding student requirements.
- Participate in seminars, workshops, education fairs, and promotional activities when required.
- Prepare regular reports on leads, follow-ups, counselling, and admissions.
REQUIREMENTS
- 1–3 years of experience in Academic Counselling / Sales / EdTech.
- Previous EdTech or Education industry experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong counselling, convincing, and negotiation abilities.
- Proven ability to achieve admission/sales targets.
- Strong follow-up and relationship-management skills.
- Customer-focused, confident, and target-oriented.
- Good knowledge of CRM and basic computer applications.
