Job Description
We are looking for a Sample Collection Staff to join our medical laboratory team in Pattal, Perumbavoor.
The ideal candidate should be responsible, punctual, willing to learn, and comfortable interacting with patients.
Responsibilities
- Collect blood and other medical samples from patients as per proper procedures.
- Verify patient details and test requirements before collection.
- Properly label and handle collected samples.
- Ensure safe and timely transportation of samples to the laboratory.
- Maintain accurate sample collection records.
- Follow hygiene, infection control, and safety procedures.
- Communicate politely with patients and assist them during the collection process.
- Coordinate with laboratory and reception staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of collection equipment.
Requirements.
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Basic knowledge of sample collection/phlebotomy will be an advantage.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Responsible, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Basic computer knowledge is preferred.
- Candidates with DMLT / MLT / relevant medical laboratory qualification will be preferred.
- Two-wheeler and valid driving licence will be an added advantage, especially for home sample collection.
