Job Purpose:
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and student-focused English Faculty member to teach students pursuing a Diploma in Computer Engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing students' English language proficiency by developing their communication, grammar, reading, writing, speaking, and soft skills.
The faculty member should be capable of creating an engaging and interactive learning environment that encourages active participation, builds confidence, and helps students achieve academic and professional excellence. The primary focus of this role is to build foundational language proficiency and technical communication skills (like presentation, resume building, and interview skills) to ensure our diploma students are highly employable and ready for direct placement or lateral entry into B.Tech (LEET) programs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Classroom Teaching & Curriculum Delivery:
- Conduct engaging lectures and interactive tutorial sessions based on the State technical curriculum guidelines for English and Communication Skills.
- Teach professional and technical communication, including technical report writing, professional correspondence, group discussions, and interview preparation.
- Design detailed lesson plans, create robust course files, and develop supplementary study materials to assist students coming from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
- Develop lesson plans and learning materials aligned with the curriculum.
- Maintain attendance records, student progress reports, and assessment data.
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Assess students through assignments, tests, presentations, and examinations.
2. Skill Development & Language Lab Management:
- Maximize the use of the campus Language Lab to help students improve their pronunciation, listening comprehension, and spoken fluency.
- Conduct specialized soft skills workshops, mock interviews, and group discussions to mentally prepare students for placement drives.
- Identify students who need extra support with conversational English and provide constructive, encouraging remedial sessions.
3. Institutional Support:
- Participate actively in departmental administrative work, admissions support, and student mentoring/proctoring programs.
- Support institutional events, cultural activities, and student-led clubs to build an expressive, confident campus environment.
Required Qualifications & Eligibility:
- Education: Master’s Degree in English (M.A. English), English Language Teaching (ELT), Corporate Communication, or a closely related field from a recognized university.
- Experience:
o Minimum 6-7 years of experience teaching English or Business Communication in a polytechnic, engineering college, or technical institute.
- Familiarity: Understanding of the State technical board exam patterns and evaluation standards is a significant plus.

- Fluency & Clarity: Flawless spoken and written English with an approachable teaching style that easily connects with diploma-level students (post-10th/12th grade).
- Industry Context: A general understanding of IT industry expectations to help Computer Engineering students tailor their professional communication.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable utilizing modern classroom tools, smart boards, and digital Language Lab software
