Job Description: Site Supervisor (Railways & Road Construction)
Position Overview
The Site Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations at construction sites for railway and road projects. This role ensures that work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Supervision: Monitor and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
- Team Coordination: Direct and supervise site workers, subcontractors, and equipment operators.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections to minimize risks.
- Quality Control: Ensure construction work meets engineering standards and specifications.
- Resource Management: Oversee materials, tools, and machinery usage to prevent wastage and delays.
- Reporting: Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and communicate updates to project managers.
- Problem-Solving: Address on-site challenges promptly to avoid project disruptions.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Technical Knowledge of railway and road construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in project management tools and reporting systems.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Work Environment
- Primarily site-based, requiring travel to project locations.
- Exposure to outdoor conditions and heavy machinery operations.
- Flexible to work extended hours depending on project needs.
Qualifications
- Any Diploma/Degree in related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in railway or road construction projects.
- Certification in safety management is preferred.
Pay: ₹18,090.38 - ₹28,000.00 per month
