About the Role
Professor Academy is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Digital Marketing Manager to lead and manage our digital marketing operations across all major digital channels.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on knowledge across SEO, SEM, Social Media Marketing, Performance Marketing, Content Marketing, Email Marketing, Analytics, Lead Generation, AEO, GEO and Digital Branding, along with proven experience in managing and developing a digital marketing team.
The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing integrated digital marketing strategies that increase brand visibility, website traffic, qualified leads, conversions and overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Strategy
- Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Plan monthly and quarterly digital marketing campaigns, budgets and targets.
- Identify new digital channels, trends and growth opportunities.
- Monitor competitors and market trends to improve digital marketing performance.
SEO, AEO & GEO
- Lead Technical SEO, On-Page SEO, Off-Page SEO and Local SEO activities.
- Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, content gap analysis and backlink strategies.
- Improve organic traffic, rankings, CTR, leads and conversions.
- Develop AEO strategies for Featured Snippets, People Also Ask, FAQ and conversational search.
- Develop GEO strategies for AI-powered search and generative platforms.
- Improve visibility across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and other AI search platforms.
- Build topical authority, entity relevance and strong content signals.
Performance Marketing
- Plan, execute and optimize Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns.
- Manage lead-generation, conversion and remarketing campaigns.
- Monitor CPL, CPA, CTR, ROAS, conversion rates and overall campaign ROI.
- Conduct A/B testing of creatives, landing pages, audiences and campaigns.
- Coordinate with the admissions/sales team to improve lead quality and conversion.
Social Media Marketing
- Develop and execute social media strategies across relevant platforms.
- Manage content calendars, campaigns and audience engagement.
- Work closely with graphic designers, video editors and content creators.
- Track social media growth, engagement, reach, leads and conversions.
Content Marketing
- Develop content strategies for websites, blogs, social media, YouTube and other platforms.
- Ensure content is optimized for SEO, AEO and GEO.
- Identify content opportunities based on search trends, audience needs and competitor gaps.
- Coordinate with content writers and creative teams.
Website & Analytics
- Oversee website performance, landing pages and conversion optimization.
- Work with the WordPress/development team on website improvements.
- Monitor Google Search Console, GA4, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Looker Studio.
- Track traffic, rankings, leads, conversions, user behaviour and campaign performance.
- Ensure proper tracking, tagging and conversion measurement.
Team Management
- Lead, manage and mentor the digital marketing team.
- Assign responsibilities, targets and KPIs to team members.
- Monitor daily, weekly and monthly performance.
- Conduct regular team reviews and performance evaluations.
- Identify skill gaps and arrange training/development.
- Coordinate effectively between SEO, performance marketing, social media, content, graphic design, video and web development teams.
- Ensure deadlines, campaign targets and deliverables are achieved.
- Build a performance-driven and collaborative digital marketing culture.
Reporting & Performance
- Prepare weekly and monthly digital marketing performance reports.
- Present key metrics, achievements, challenges and improvement plans to management.
- Track organic traffic, paid traffic, leads, CPL, conversions, ROAS, rankings, engagement and revenue contribution.
- Take data-driven decisions to continuously improve marketing performance.

Candidate Requirements
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing.
- Strong practical knowledge of multiple digital marketing channels, not just SEO or social media.
- Proven experience managing SEO, paid advertising, social media, content and lead-generation campaigns.
- Strong understanding of AEO and GEO is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in team management and leadership.
- Must be capable of setting KPIs, delegating tasks and driving team performance.
- Strong analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing marketing budgets and achieving measurable ROI.
- Experience in Education / EdTech / Coaching / Lead Generation is an advantage.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Candidates currently residing in Madurai are strongly preferred.
- Must be willing to work on-site at Kappalur, Madurai.
Candidates with strong hands-on experience across multiple digital marketing modules and proven team-management experience will be given preference.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
