Executive Summary We are looking for a visionary India Sales Head to be based in our Ahmedabad hub. You will lead the national commercial strategy for our biometric and AI-security portfolio. Your primary goal is to scale our revenue through robust channel partnerships and high-value enterprise accounts, supported by a foundational understanding of biometric technology and Indian data privacy laws. 1. Business & Strategic Leadership (80%) Market Expansion & GTM Strategy • National Roadmap: Design and execute the 5-year Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy for India, identifying high-growth clusters in Manufacturing, BFSI, and Government. • Ahmedabad Hub Management: Leverage the strategic location in Gujarat to penetrate the industrial corridors and the GIFT City tech ecosystem. • Revenue Accountability: Own the national P&L, setting and exceeding annual sales targets and market share goals. Channel & Ecosystem Development • Distribution Network: Appoint and manage a nationwide network of Tier-1 Distributors and System Integrators (SIs). • Strategic Partnerships: Build alliances with leading HRMS and ERP software providers to bundle biometric hardware with their digital solutions. • Brand Positioning: Localize the global brand message to resonate with Indian cultural and corporate values. Operations & HQ Liaison • China-India Bridge: Act as the primary cultural and professional link between the China R&D/Production teams and the Indian market. • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations align with Indian trade laws and the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023. 2. Technical Sales & Knowledge (20%) Solution Oversight • Technical Literacy: Ability to explain the core differences between Contactless (Face/Iris) vs. Contact (Fingerprint) modalities and their specific use-cases (e.g., construction sites vs. clean rooms). • The "Technical Bridge": Translate complex client requirements into technical briefs for the China-based engineering teams to ensure product localization (API/SDK needs). Security & Privacy (Critical 2026 Skills) • Data Privacy: Understand the technicalities of biometric hashing and encryption to assure Indian clients of data safety under new privacy regulations. • System Integration: High-level understanding of how our hardware integrates with existing IoT, CCTV, and Cloud infrastructures via Wiegand or OSDP protocols. Candidate Profile • Experience: 8–15 years in Sales, with at least 2 years in a Senior Leadership role within the Security, IT Hardware, or Telecom sectors. • Education: MBA from a top-tier business school; an Engineering background (B.E./B.Tech) is a plus but not mandatory if technical sales experience is proven. • The "Ahmedabad Factor": Strong familiarity with the North/West India business landscape and a willingness to travel extensively across the country. • Skillset: A "Sales Hunter" who understands the "Science" of biometrics. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 1. Annual Revenue Growth: Achievement of national sales targets. 2. Channel Health: Number of "Active" Tier-1 partners and their quarterly throughput. 3. Project Conversion: Success rate in large-scale Government/Enterprise tenders. 4. Product Feedback Loop: Successful delivery of at least two "India-localized" product features per year through collaboration with HQ.
