Sales Executive – Steel Roofing Sheets
Reporting To

Based in Guwahati.
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and energetic Sales Executive to work directly under the General Manager. The candidate will accompany the GM on customer visits, assist in generating sales, build relationships with dealers, contractors, builders, architects, and industrial customers, and help expand the market for steel roofing sheets and related products.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Visits & Sales Support
* Accompany the General Manager on customer meetings and site visits.
* Meet dealers, distributors, contractors, fabricators, builders, and project owners.
* Present the company’s steel roofing products and solutions.
* Assist in converting inquiries into orders.
* Follow up on quotations, negotiations, and pending orders.
Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
* Regularly visit customers to understand their requirements.
* Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve basic service issues.
Market Development
* Identify new customers and business opportunities.
* Collect market intelligence regarding competitors, pricing, and projects.
* Maintain a database of potential customers and upcoming construction projects.
Coordination
* Coordinate with production, dispatch, and accounts teams regarding customer orders.
* Ensure timely communication between customers and the company.
* Support the GM in executing sales strategies and achieving targets.
Reporting
* Prepare daily visit reports and sales activity reports.
* Maintain records of leads, inquiries, quotations, and order status.
* Update CRM or customer databases regularly.
Required Qualifications
* Graduate in any discipline (Business, Commerce, Marketing preferred).
* 1–3 years of sales experience (building materials, steel, roofing, cement, TMT, or construction industry preferred).
* Freshers with strong communication skills may also apply.
Required Skills
* Good communication and negotiation skills.
* Willingness to travel extensively.
* Ability to build customer relationships.
* Basic knowledge of MS Excel and WhatsApp Business.
* Self-motivated and target-oriented.
* Valid driving license preferred.
Preferred Experience
* Experience in steel roofing sheets, PEB, construction materials, TMT bars, cement, or industrial products.
* Existing network of dealers and contractors is an advantage.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Number of customer visits per month.
* New customer acquisition.
* Sales orders generated.
* Conversion rate of inquiries to orders.
* Customer retention and repeat business.
* Collection support and payment follow-up.
Compensation Structure
* Fixed Salary: ₹20000 to 25000 per month.
* Travel Allowance/Reimbursement.

A field-oriented salesperson who enjoys meeting customers, learning the roofing business, and growing into a future Area Sales Manager under the guidance of the General Manager.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
