Position description: Join Jindal Ferrous Limited as a key member of our Carbon Steel Operations team, where you will lead engineering initiatives that drive operational excellence in the mining and metals sector. This role demands a seasoned professional with a strong technical foundation in carbon steel production processes, coupled with the ability to manage complex projects, optimize plant performance, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the engineering operations related to carbon steel production, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
- Develop, implement, and monitor process improvements to enhance efficiency, product quality, and safety within the operations department.
- Manage and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend the lifecycle of critical plant equipment.
- Conduct detailed technical analysis and troubleshooting to resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.
- Ensure strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety and compliance across the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, quality assurance, and production planning to streamline operations and optimize resource utilization.
- Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing within the department.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through innovative engineering solutions and process optimization.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning activities.
