Mechanical Design Engineer
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team, specializing in the design and development of industrial filling and packaging machinery. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, CAD software, and a passion for machine design, automation, and manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of senior engineers to contribute to all phases of the product lifecycle, from concept and detailed design to testing and final implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Drafting: Create and update 3D CAD models, 2D manufacturing drawings GA drawing, layouts, and revision control, detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Component Selection: Assist in selecting standard mechanical and pneumatic parts (motors, gears, bearings, cylinders, fasteners).
- Engineering Calculations: Perform basic calculations (stress, tolerance stacks) to ensure design feasibility and fit using DFMA principles.
- Production & Quality Support: Act as a technical liaison for the assembly floor, resolving drawing queries and participating in quality checks.
- Qualification
Education and Experience
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Prior full-time industry experience required : (0 - 1 Year)
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in at least one major 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCad).
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including statics, dynamics, material science, and machine design.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as Lethe machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and various surface treatments.
Soft Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from senior staff.
- Proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn and take ownership of tasks.
Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
