Hostel Warden - Job Description
- Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5.5 years of experience as a Hostel Warden or in hostel/administrative management in a hospital, educational institution, or residential facility.
- Hostel Administration: Manage the day-to-day operations of the hostel, including room allotment, occupancy records, admissions, and vacating procedures.
- Resident Discipline: Ensure adherence to hostel rules and regulations, maintain discipline, and address residents' grievances in a fair and timely manner.
- Safety & Security: Ensure the safety and security of residents by monitoring access, coordinating with the Security Department, and responding promptly to emergencies.
- Housekeeping & Maintenance: Supervise cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of hostel premises by coordinating with housekeeping and engineering departments.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of hostel residents, attendance, visitor logs, inventory, complaints, and incident reports.
- Communication & Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between hostel residents and hospital departments such as HR, Administration, Security, and Maintenance.
- Emergency Response: Handle medical emergencies, accidents, and other critical situations efficiently, ensuring timely reporting to the concerned authorities.
- Skills & Competencies: Possess strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills, along with basic computer knowledge and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
