A Field Operations Executive in freight forwarding is responsible for managing and coordinating on-ground logistics activities, ensuring smooth movement of import and export shipments. The role involves handling documentation, supporting customs clearance, coordinating with transporters and vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of cargo.
Responsibilities:-
- Logistics Coordination: Supervise transportation, fleet management, and distribution processes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Field Management: Direct, train, and supervise field staff, including drivers and warehouse personnel, to ensure high performance.
- Inventory & Warehouse Management: Oversee storage, stock handling, and loading/unloading processes to ensure accuracy.
- Operational Optimization: Analyze and improve daily operational procedures, supply chain processes, and cost efficiency.
- Client & Vendor Communication: Serve as the point of contact for stakeholders, handling disputes, and providing regular progress updates.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with logistics regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Reporting: Monitor KPIs and prepare daily/weekly reports for management on operational performance.
