We are a fast-growing digital media network operating three highly active social media pages with a combined following of over 250,000 followers. Our flagship page, What'sUpUK, specializes in highly engaging, short-form content, focusing on geographical facts, hidden history, Immigration, Student life and fascinating trivia.
We are looking for a creative and strategic Content Writer who understands the science of social media growth and can craft scripts that are designed to go viral.
The Role: Your primary focus will be writing high-retention scripts for our short-form video content. You won't just be writing articles; you will be engineering video scripts that capture attention in the first three seconds and keep the audience watching until the end.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft Viral Hooks: Write punchy, scroll-stopping intros that instantly grab the viewer's attention.
- Write Engaging Body Content: Structure the core of the video script to maintain high viewer retention, using storytelling techniques, curiosity gaps, and fast-paced pacing.
- Research and verify fascinating facts, trivia, and historical insights to ensure our content remains educational and accurate.
- Adapt the writing style and tone to perfectly match the brand voice of our different pages.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience writing scripts specifically for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or TikTok.
- A strong understanding of social media algorithms, viewer psychology, and what makes a video shareable.
- An interest in global facts, history, and UK-specific trivia is a huge plus.
- Ability to deliver tight, concise, and highly engaging copy with zero fluff.
Compensation & Payment Structure:
- Payment is highly performance-driven. We pay Rs 1,000 per script.
- Condition: This payment is made only if the resulting video surpasses 60,000 views specifically on our Flagship page.
- This role is ideal for a confident writer who knows their hooks work and wants to grow alongside a rapidly expanding media brand.
