Job Summary
We are looking for experienced Fitters to join our Mechanical Maintenance team in a Ductile Iron Pipe Manufacturing Plant. The candidate will be responsible for preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Repair, assemble, dismantle, and install machinery and components.
- Maintain conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, valves, and rotating equipment.
- Perform motor-pump alignment and bearing replacement activities.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Execute routine inspection and condition monitoring of equipment.
- Participate in shutdown and annual maintenance activities.
- Follow all safety procedures including LOTO, PTW, and PPE requirements.
- Maintain maintenance records and report equipment abnormalities.
Required Skills
- Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Gearbox, bearing, and pump maintenance.
- Conveyor and material handling equipment maintenance.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic system knowledge.
- Alignment and fitting work.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of welding and gas cutting will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of industrial safety practices.
Eligibility Criteria
- ITI Fitter (NCVT/SCVT) – Mandatory.
- 2–8 years of maintenance experience in Ductile Iron Pipe, Steel, Foundry, Cement, Power, or Heavy Engineering industries.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
