Position Description
A CNC programmer writes code to automate CNC & TURNING machines that cut and finish metal, Castings or alluminium such as lathes, grinders and mills.
Essential Skills of a CNC Programmer
- Experience in CAD/ CAM Programming and Machining
- Experience in Manufacturing of Precision Engg. Components
- Must be proficient with FANUC controls Understands, interprets and edits FANUC G-code programming Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling Understands and has the ability to perform tool wear offsets.
- Fixture Designing and Mfg. as per Jobs Requirements.
- managing one other mechanical maintenance individual
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must have superior computer programming skills.
- Must have good problem solving skills.
- Experience in process planning, and new part introduction, high precision components
- Knowledge of CNC PLANT work.
• Good math skills, especially algebra, trigonometry and physics. • Must be able to work effectively with little or no supervision.
