Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chirala for a Designer and Production Merchandiser. The role involves conceptualizing and developing collections aligned with ABC Fashions’ handloom and craft-based aesthetic, including unstitched suits, sarees and coordinated sets. The Designer and Production Merchandiser will translate design concepts into detailed specifications, create and review sampling, and collaborate closely with artisans, weavers, and vendors to ensure quality, color accuracy, and timely production. Daily responsibilities include coordinating production schedules, monitoring inventory of fabrics and trims, ensuring quality control at each stage, and resolving any production issues. The role also includes preparing visual presentations, maintaining design and production documentation, and contributing to brand storytelling through product details, look books, and merchandising plans.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Garment construction, pattern making, fabric counts and types.
- Strong production focused skills, including Print Production and Production Design, with the ability to move designs from concept to high-quality finished products.
- Knowledge of textiles, especially handloom, natural dyes, and traditional Indian crafts; prior experience with artisan-led or craft-based brands is an advantage.
- Ability to coordinate with vendors and artisans, manage timelines, and oversee quality control across sampling and bulk production.
- Strong attention to detail, good visual and color sense, and the ability to interpret design briefs into commercially viable products.
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience in fashion production and merchandising.
- Understanding of retail business methodology and the way it is to be handled.

- Minimum Two years of experience in garment construction, pattern making
- Should be willing to move to office location: Chirala, Andhra Pradesh.
- Language: Must understand & speak Telugu, English, Hindi.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
