Job Summary
MedPlus is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator – Civil to coordinate and monitor existing store maintenance and new store setup activities across Madurai and surrounding districts.
The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with the internal project/maintenance team, tracking work progress, conducting site visits, and ensuring timely completion of activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesExisting Store Maintenance
- Coordinate and follow up with the internal MedPlus maintenance team for civil maintenance requirements.
- Conduct regular visits to existing stores and identify civil-related issues.
- Monitor and follow up on maintenance activities until completion.
- Ensure timely closure of maintenance requirements and pending issues.
- Check the quality and completion status of civil works.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance activities and pending works.
New Store Setup
- Coordinate and follow up with the internal MedPlus project team for new store setup activities.
- Visit new store locations and monitor site readiness.
- Prepare and track work schedules for new store setup.
- Coordinate with internal teams for flooring, painting, false ceiling, partition, plumbing, doors, windows, and other civil works.
- Monitor daily/weekly progress and ensure activities are completed as per the planned timeline.
- Identify site issues and coordinate with the concerned internal team for quick resolution.
- Ensure the store is ready for opening within the scheduled timeline.
Team Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with the MedPlus in-house project and maintenance team for day-to-day activities.
- Track multiple store projects simultaneously.
- Conduct regular site inspections and submit progress updates.
- Prepare project trackers, maintenance reports, and completion status reports.
- Escalate delays, quality issues, or major site requirements to management.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth store opening and maintenance operations.
Qualification
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or
- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
Experience
- 3–7 years of relevant experience
- Experience in retail store setup, commercial projects, civil maintenance, or site supervision is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong project coordination and follow-up skills.
- Good knowledge of civil construction and maintenance.
- Strong team coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple store locations.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of measurements, BOQ, and civil works.
- Strong problem-solving and site-handling skills.
- Willingness to travel across Madurai and surrounding districts.
Key Responsibilities in Brief
Existing Stores: Maintenance follow-up → Site visit → Internal team coordination → Issue closure
New Stores: Site visit → Work planning → Internal team coordination → Progress monitoring → Store readiness
Note: This role primarily involves coordination and follow-up with MedPlus's own internal team rather than external contractor management.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
