Position: AC Technician / HVAC Technician
Department: Engineering / Maintenance
Reports To: Engineering Supervisor / Chief Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults in HVAC systems, chillers, split ACs, package units, AHUs, FCUs, and ventilation systems.
- Monitor the performance of cooling and ventilation equipment.
- Maintain guest room air-conditioning systems and ensure prompt resolution of complaints.
- Inspect and service refrigeration equipment such as cold rooms, freezers, and kitchen refrigeration units.
- Check refrigerant levels, compressors, motors, filters, belts, and electrical controls.
- Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and equipment checklists.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and front office teams to minimize guest inconvenience during repairs.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns on a priority basis.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and refrigeration cycles.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Familiarity with tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
- Understanding of electrical circuits and controls.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, HVAC, Electrical, or related field.
- 1–5+ years of experience in hotels, hospitals, malls, or commercial buildings (depending on position level).
- Certification in HVAC or refrigeration is an advantage.
