Position Summary
The Graduate Engineer Trainee will learn to ensure that products meet quality standards to minimize costs and maximize customer satisfaction. The role involves supporting quality processes, ensuring compliance, resolving quality issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The trainee will work under supervision on defined tasks while developing problem-solving and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support management of quality-related issues (internal, supplier, customer, warranty)
- Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues efficiently
- Learn and perform product and process audits
- Support implementation and maintenance of control plans and documentation
- Monitor and report quality KPIs (scrap, rework, PPM)
- Raise issues affecting production quality
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (TS16949 / ISO9001)
- Participate in inspection meetings and quality improvement action plans
- Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimization
- Perform quality checks and reviews
- Prepare basic reports and present findings to management
- Participate in benchmarking and best practice studies
- Plan and track assigned tasks/projects
- Support achievement of KPIs
- Attend meetings and follow up on action items
- Participate in training and development programs
- Assist in problem-solving and root cause analysis
Education & Skills Requirements
- BE / ME in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, or Electrical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of:
- Measurement techniques
- Metrology and inspection methods
- Engineering drawing interpretation
- Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis
- Understanding of quality systems and standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated, resilient, and adaptable
- Positive attitude and ethical work behavior
