Job Summary:
The Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods from warehouses to customers, vendors, or distribution centers. The role includes vehicle maintenance, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining delivery records, and complying with all traffic laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles for the pickup and delivery of goods.
- Collect shipments from clients, warehouses, vendors, and transport hubs.
- Deliver consignments to customers within the committed timeline.
- Verify shipment details, invoices, e-way bills, POD (Proof of Delivery), and other transport documents before departure.
- Obtain customer signatures and collect POD after successful delivery.
- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring no damage during transit.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections (fuel, engine oil, brakes, tires, lights, etc.).
- Report vehicle breakdowns, accidents, or maintenance requirements immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of the assigned vehicle.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with traffic rules, road safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel records, mileage, toll receipts, and expense reports.
- Coordinate with the Operations Team regarding delivery status and delays.
- Handle customer interactions professionally during pickups and deliveries.
- Protect company assets and ensure the security of goods during transportation.
- Assist in emergency deliveries or additional transportation tasks as required.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
