A Sales Consultant in the automobile sector is responsible for selling vehicles, assisting customers in selecting the right vehicle, explaining product features, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the sales process. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, building strong customer relationships, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Customer Handling
- Welcome customers visiting the showroom and understand their requirements.
- Provide detailed information about available vehicle models, features, pricing, and offers.
- Assist customers in selecting the most suitable vehicle based on their needs and budget.
2. Sales Target Achievement
- Achieve monthly and yearly vehicle sales targets assigned by management.
- Generate new leads through showroom walk-ins, referrals, and follow-ups.
3. Product Demonstration
- Explain vehicle specifications, technology, safety features, and benefits to customers.
- Coordinate and arrange test drives with the Test Drive Executive.
- Demonstrate vehicle features during showroom visits and test drives.
4. Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Follow up with potential customers to convert inquiries into sales.
5. Documentation & Sales Process
- Assist customers in completing booking forms and required documentation.
- Coordinate with finance and insurance teams for loan and insurance processing.
- Ensure smooth completion of the sales process until vehicle delivery.
6. Delivery Coordination
- Coordinate with the PDI and delivery teams to ensure vehicles are ready on time.
- Participate in the vehicle delivery process and ensure customer satisfaction.
7. Market Awareness
- Stay updated on competitor products, pricing, and market trends.
- Provide feedback to management regarding customer preferences and market demand.
