We are seeking an attentive, reliable, and empathetic Hostel Warden to oversee the daily operations of our residential facilities and ensure a safe, supportive, and well-regulated living environment for residents. The Warden will be responsible for maintaining discipline, monitoring student welfare, handling emergency situations, and managing facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student Welfare & Community Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for resident concerns, personal issues, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and conducive environment for living and studying.
- Monitor student attendance, daily night check-ins/curfew callings, and manage leave approvals according to institution policy.
2. Operations & Facility Management
- Conduct daily inspections of hostel premises, rooms, common areas, dining facilities, and security checkpoints.
- Coordinate with maintenance, cleaning, and catering staff to ensure high standards of hygiene, meal quality, and facility upkeep.
- Log, report, and follow up on repair requests (plumbing, electrical, Wi-Fi, carpentry).
3. Safety, Security & Health
- Enforce institutional regulations, curfew timings, visitor protocols, and entry/exit guidelines.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, provide basic first aid, and arrange hospital transport or doctor visits when required.
- Lead fire drills, emergency evacuations, and health and safety compliance within the building.
4. Administration & Record Keeping
- Maintain up-to-date resident registers, attendance records, leave logs, and visitor entry books.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports on hostel operations, discipline issues, and maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate with parents/guardians regarding student wellbeing, misconduct, or emergencies as necessary.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Social Work, Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in hostel management, residential life supervision, administration, or institutional housing.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, conflict management, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive during crisis or emergency situations.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, Google Workspace, email management).
- Work Conditions: Requires residing on-campus in provided warden accommodation; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and remain on-call for emergencies.
Pay: ₹8,000.00 per month
