Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspection of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods as per quality standards and drawings.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, height gauges, etc.
- Ensure products comply with customer specifications, engineering drawings, and internal quality standards.
- Identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities during production processes.
- Maintain inspection reports, quality records, and documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Monitor welding, cutting, bending, punching, and sheet metal fabrication quality parameters.
- Conduct first-piece inspection and final inspection before dispatch.
- Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Assist in internal audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to ISO standards, safety guidelines, and company procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
- 3–4 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing or metal sheet fabrication company.
- Good knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Hands-on experience with measuring and inspection tools.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and documentation practices.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for report preparation and documentation.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automotive, fabrication, or precision sheet metal manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, etc.
- Understanding of welding inspection and surface finish standards is an added advantage.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing plant / shop floor environment.
- May require rotational shifts depending on production schedules.
Salary
As per industry standards and candidate experience.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
