Position Summary:
The Driver is responsible for safely transporting patients, staff, and hospital materials while ensuring vehicle maintenance, cleanliness, and compliance with hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Transportation Duties:
- Safely drive hospital vehicles (ambulance / staff vehicle) as assigned.
- Transport patients to and from hospital, diagnostic centers, or other healthcare facilities.
- Ensure timely pick-up and drop of doctors, staff, and official visitors.
- Assist patients (especially critical or elderly) while boarding and deboarding.
B. Vehicle Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the vehicle at all times.
- Conduct daily checks (fuel, oil, brakes, tyres, lights, etc.).
- Ensure timely servicing and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain vehicle logbook (distance, fuel consumption, trip details).
C. Compliance & Safety:
- Follow all traffic rules and hospital safety protocols.
- Ensure availability of vehicle documents (RC book, insurance, PUC, etc.).
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
- Adhere to infection control practices (especially for ambulance drivers).
D. Emergency Support:
- Be available for emergency duties and night shifts as required.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls for patient transport.
Qualification & Experience:
- Minimum 10th Pass.
- Valid driving license (LMV/Transport License preferred).
- Minimum 2–5 years of driving experience (hospital/ambulance experience preferred).
Skills Required:
- Good knowledge of Ahmedabad routes and traffic regulations.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.
- Polite and helpful attitude toward patients and staff.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
