Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to oversee the installation, troubleshooting, and continuous upkeeping of our plastic injection moulding machinery and auxiliary equipment. The ideal candidate possesses deep hands-on expertise in both mechanical infrastructure (hydraulics, valves, mould alignment) and electrical control systems (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs). You will be responsible for minimizing machine downtime, executing robust preventative maintenance schedules, and ensuring optimal energy and process efficiency across the production floor. [1, 2, 3]Key Responsibilities Mechanical Maintenance & Diagnostics
- Hydraulic Systems Management: Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize hydraulic valves, high-pressure pumps, cylinders, and complex oil circuits. [1, 2]
- Tooling & Mould Support: Assist with mechanical mould changes, alignment checks, clamping force distribution, and minor tool room repairs. [1, 2, 3]
- Mechanical Refurbishment: Replace worn mechanical components like reciprocating screws, barrels, tie bars, heaters, and ejector pins. [1, 2, 3]
Electrical & Automation Maintenance
- PLC & HMI Troubleshooting: Diagnose electronic faults using controllers such as KEBA, B&R, or Siemens to adjust machine sequences and timing. [1, 2, 3]
- Power & Control Wiring: Maintain and troubleshoot three-phase power lines, servo motors, proportional valves, solid-state relays, and variable frequency drives (VFDs). [1, 2]
- Heating & Temperature Calibration: Monitor and service barrel heating bands, thermocouples, and multi-zone Hot Runner controllers to guarantee precise heat distribution. [1]
Auxiliary & Plant Utilities
- Utility Equipment Care: Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on critical backup systems including industrial air compressors, water chillers, Mould Temperature Controllers (MTCs), cooling towers, and material loaders/dryers.
- Energy Management: Track and optimize electrical energy consumption metrics, managing the plant’s power factor and unit-per-kilogram (Unit/Kg) efficiency ratios. [1]
Continuous Improvement & Documentation
- PM Calendars: Implement and log standard preventative and predictive maintenance routines to maximize equipment lifecycle.
- Inventory Control: Manage spare part sourcing requests for critical mechanical and electrical components to avoid prolonged breakdown windows.
- Safety & ISO Compliance: Adhere strictly to ISO documentation frameworks and ensure all safety interlocks, light curtains, and emergency stops are flawlessly operational. [1, 2, 3, 4]
