Interior Designer — Furniture Specialist
Department: Design & Project Delivery | Experience: 3–8 years
About the Role
We're looking for an Interior Designer with strong furniture and space-planning expertise to lead furnishing projects end-to-end — from first client consultation to final handover. You'll design complete home interiors using our in-house furniture collection, and specify custom, made-to-order pieces where needed. This is a client-facing, ownership-driven role for someone who can manage design, budgets, vendors, and delivery timelines simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand client lifestyle, needs, and budget; prepare furnishing briefs and design concepts
- Develop the overall design language — style, materials, colour palette, and furniture selection for every room
- Plan furniture layouts for functionality, flow, and proportion
- Select from our furniture collection first; recommend made-to-order pieces only where needed
- Choose materials, fabrics, and finishes in coordination with the materials team
- Present design boards, layouts, and quotations to clients/architects; manage revisions and close orders
- Conduct site visits to validate designs against real dimensions
- Prepare complete, accurate specification files for production and engineering teams
- Review and approve shop drawings and production samples
- Coordinate furniture delivery timing with site readiness and installation
- Oversee installation and final handover; resolve post-handover snags and warranty issues
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, or Product Design
- 3–8 years of experience in premium residential or hospitality furnishing/interior projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop/InDesign, Excel & PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of furniture materials, finishes, and space planning
- Excellent client communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and ownership
What We Offer
- End-to-end project ownership with real client and design impact
- Work with a premium, in-house furniture collection and made-to-order manufacturing
- Collaborative environment across design, engineering, and production teams
