As a Business Development (Sales) intern at OBSA,
you will work closely with the team across user relationship management, brand relationship management, sales outreach, lead management, onboarding, and day-to-day operations. This role offers hands-on experience in managing relationships with users and brands, conducting outreach, supporting the onboarding of new users and brand partners, maintaining CRM systems, and contributing to the growth and smooth functioning of OBSA.
day-to-day responsibilities include:
A. User CRM and Relationship Management
1. Review and process community applications on a daily basis.
2. Assign approved applicants to the appropriate cohorts and maintain accurate user and cohort records.
3. Manage the user onboarding process and ensure new members complete all onboarding requirements.
4. Follow up with applicants and members who drop off during the onboarding process.
5. Maintain regular communication with users and support their journey from application to onboarding and community participation.
6. Track member activity, onboarding status, cohort participation, engagement, inactivity, and drop-offs.
7. Identify reasons for user inactivity, onboarding drop-offs, and community exits.
8. Support user retention and re-engagement initiatives.
9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date user CRM records and databases.
B. Brand CRM and Relationship Management
1. Assist in identifying and building relationships with potential brand partners.
2. Conduct outreach to potential brands and introduce them to OBSA and its partnership opportunities.
3. Maintain accurate records of brand leads, conversations, follow-ups, and partnership status.
4. Follow up with interested brands and maintain regular communication throughout the relationship.
5. Support the onboarding of brands onto OBSA's platform and pilot programs.
6. Assist in maintaining long-term relationships with existing and potential brand partners.
C. Sales and Business Development Outreach
1. Conduct outreach to potential users, brands, colleges, and other relevant partners.
2. Communicate with potential users and partners through calls, WhatsApp, Instagram, email, and other relevant channels.
3. Conduct outreach and follow-ups in both English and Tamil, depending on the audience.
4. Manage leads from initial outreach through follow-up and onboarding.
5. Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, responses, follow-ups, and conversions.
6. Assist in identifying new leads and potential business development opportunities.
7. Support the team in improving outreach and onboarding conversion rates.
D. Operations and Data Management
1. Monitor community bots and flag any issues that may impact the member experience or operations.
2. Maintain and update CRM records, databases, spreadsheets, and tracking systems.
3. Monitor and report key metrics, including application-to-join rate, onboarding speed, cohort fill rate, outreach conversion, user retention, brand outreach conversion, and follow-up status.
4. Ensure all operational, user, and brand data is accurate, updated, and accessible for reporting and decision-making.
5. Support the smooth day-to-day execution of CRM, sales, onboarding, brand relationship management, and community operations.
6. Assist the team with administrative and operational tasks related to user and brand
Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹7,000.00 per month
