As the Branch Manager – Commodity Inspections, you will be responsible for driving business growth, managing branch operations, ensuring quality and compliance, and leading a high-performing team. The role requires strong commercial, operational, and technical expertise to deliver inspection services efficiently while achieving revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction targets.

- Drive branch growth by achieving revenue, profitability, and new business targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with exporters, importers, traders, logistics providers, shipping companies, banks, insurers, and government agencies.
- Prepare commercial proposals, tenders, quotations, and service agreements.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across testing, inspection and certification services.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to support business expansion and retention.
- Lead day-to-day branch operations and ensure efficient execution of inspection assignments.
- Plan and deploy inspectors, and support resources across ports, warehouses, factories, and vessels.
- Ensure timely issuance of accurate inspection reports and certificates.
- Maintain high service quality standards and promptly resolve operational issues and customer concerns.
- Quality, Compliance & HSE
- Ensure compliance with company quality systems, accreditation requirements, industry standards, and client specifications.
- Monitor technical quality, report accuracy, and documentation standards.
- Conduct quality reviews, implement corrective actions, and uphold ethical, impartial, and safe working practices.
- Manage branch budgets, profitability, expenses, and financial performance.
- Monitor revenue, margins, receivables, and cash flow.
- Ensure timely billing, invoicing, and collection of outstanding payments.
- People Management & Administration
- Lead, coach, and develop branch employees to achieve business objectives.
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and retain inspection and operational staff.
- Ensure effective administration of branch records, equipment, assets, and statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, IT at the Head Office (Navi Mumbai) to ensure smooth branch operations.

- Graduate in any discipline; Postgraduate preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant, verifiable experience in commodity inspection (Agri, Minerals & Metals, Cotton, or related sectors).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commodity inspection, testing, surveying, or related operations.
- Training in ISO/IEC 17020:2012, inspection methodologies, applicable inspection standards, and internal management systems preferred.
- Strong understanding of port operations, trade logistics, and inspection processes.
- Proven experience in branch operations, customer management, business development, and team supervision is desirable.
- Strong understanding of inspection practices for Agri, Minerals & Metals, Cotton, and/or Textile commodities.
- Knowledge of inspection techniques including sampling, draught surveys, volumetric assessment, sample preparation, and report preparation.
- Good understanding of quality systems, inspection standards, and ISO/IEC 17020 requirements.
- Ability to assess inspection findings, identify deviations, and exercise sound professional judgment.
