About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Aerospace Engineer to lead the design, development, and manufacturing of fixed-wing drone platforms — spanning ISR, HALE, and cargo UAV programs — from concept through flight test and production.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will own the full airframe development lifecycle and drive scalable manufacturing of next-generation autonomous systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize fixed-wing airframes covering aerodynamics, structures, weight & balance, and propulsion integration.
- Own the complete development lifecycle — CAD design, FEA/CFD analysis, prototyping, and flight testing.
- Lead manufacturing process development (composite layup, CNC machining, assembly jigs) and drive Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) for scalable production.
- Integrate avionics, autopilot systems (ArduPilot/PX4), and payload systems with airframe design.
- Conduct structural and flight-load analysis; lead root-cause investigations for test and field failures.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate closely with electronics, software, and manufacturing teams.
- Support customer trials, field deployment requirements, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in fixed-wing aircraft or UAV design and manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of aerodynamics, structural design, and composite materials.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks / CATIA) and simulation tools (ANSYS, XFLR5, or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, flight testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with autopilot systems (ArduPilot / PX4) and UAV avionics integration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HALE or long-endurance platforms.
- Prior work in a startup or fast-scaling manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to Defence or dual-use UAV programs.
