Job Description
Goana Foods is looking for a Food Safety & Quality Officer to manage food safety, quality control, hygiene, and regulatory compliance at our food manufacturing unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed throughout the factory.
- Maintain FSSAI compliance and all required documentation and records.
- Conduct routine quality checks of raw materials, production processes, finished products, and storage areas.
- Monitor staff hygiene, cleaning, sanitation, and pest control.
- Maintain GMP, GHP, HACCP and other food safety records.
- Coordinate product, raw material, and water testing with external laboratories.
- Prepare for FSSAI inspections and third-party audits and maintain necessary documentation.
- Check product labels for regulatory compliance.
- Identify quality or food safety issues and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Investigate customer complaints related to product quality or food safety.
- Train production staff on hygiene, food handling, and food safety practices.
- Work closely with the production team to maintain consistent product quality and safety.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Knowledge of FSSAI, GMP, GHP, HACCP, and food manufacturing practices.
- Experience in a food manufacturing company is preferred.
- Good documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications and strong food safety knowledge may also apply.
Experience: 1–3 years preferred
