What is in it for you?
As a Senior Software Engineer - Site Reliability Engineering, you will be a part of an Agile team to design and build healthcare applications and implement new features while adhering to the best coding development standards.
Responsibilities: -
- Define and manage Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and error budgets.
- Monitor API performance, availability, latency, throughput, and dependency health.
- Drive performance optimization across gateway, application, and database layers.
- Implement resiliency patterns such as retries, circuit breakers, caching, and failover mechanisms.
- Support high availability and disaster recovery initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate reliability risks through proactive improvements.
- Build and enhance observability frameworks using Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, and log analytics tools.
- Develop dashboards, s, and monitoring solutions aligned with business outcomes.
- Enable proactive detection and resolution of service degradation.
- Standardize monitoring and telemetry practices across teams.
- Lead technical triage and resolution of API-related incidents.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and drive preventive actions.
- Reduce Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR).
- Act as Tier-3 escalation point for API and integration-related issues.
- Coordinate major incident management and service restoration activities.
- Partner with Support and Client Services teams for stakeholder communication.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Automate deployment validation, testing, rollback, and recovery processes.
- Improve CI/CD reliability and release quality.
- Build self-healing capabilities and operational automation.
- Manage and optimize Kong, AWS API Gateway, or similar platforms.
- Configure authentication, routing, rate limiting, and API versioning.
- Support partner onboarding and integration reliability.
- Ensure API security and compliance with industry standards.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, mTLS, Okta).
- Monitor and respond to security-related events and anomalous traffic patterns.
- Develop and maintain operational runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and support documentation.
- Enhance support readiness through process improvements and knowledge sharing.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend corrective actions.

Educational Qualifications: -
- Engineering Degree – BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
- Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.
Skills: -
Mandatory Technical Skills: -
- 3–7 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, API Operations, Platform Engineering, or Backend Engineering
- Strong experience in managing production APIs at scale
- Hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Services
- Expertise in monitoring and observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, or similar
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Shell, Go, Java, and more)
- Understanding of API integrations, connectivity troubleshooting, and support processes
- Excellent problem-solving, incident management, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Support, Security, and Client-facing teams
- Good to Have Skills: -
- Healthcare SaaS domain experience
- Experience in Kong Gateway or Service Mesh technologies
- Knowledge of SLO/SLI frameworks
- Exposure to PostgreSQL/Aurora performance optimization
- Familiarity with Mirth Connect or healthcare integration platforms
- Experience in supporting enterprise client onboarding and partner integrations
- Understanding of identity and access management standards
