As an IC4 Senior Software Development Engineer, you will own significant technical areas, drive architectural decisions, and mentor engineers while delivering critical platform capabilities.
Responsibilities
As a senior member of the software engineering division, you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and optimize software systems supporting OHI products. You will provide technical leadership while collaborating with product managers, architects, and engineering leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable healthcare administration platforms and services.
- Lead development of healthcare payer capabilities including benefits administration, claims adjudication, provider payment, Medicare, and Medicaid programs.
- Drive architecture and design reviews across multiple teams.
- Build AI-powered workflows supporting claims processing, fraud detection, payment integrity, and benefit administration.
- Design cloud-native services supporting large-scale payer operations.
- Optimize platform performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with product teams to define long-term technical strategy.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in Java, Python, and distributed systems.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices.
- Strong SQL and data modeling expertise.
- Experience building enterprise-scale SaaS platforms.
- Proven experience delivering large features from design through production.
- Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development workflows and productivity tools.
- Healthcare payer platform experience.
- Knowledge of claims adjudication, pricing, benefits administration, or provider payments.
- Experience with Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and CMS programs.
- Knowledge of EDI standards and healthcare interoperability.
- Experience with LLMs, AI agents, and intelligent workflow automation.
- Familiarity with fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) solutions.
