Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in large-scale database design, database architecture, and database development.
- Extensive experience working on enterprise-scale and mission-critical database systems.
Technical Requirements
The candidate should possess:
- Strong expertise in database design, database architecture, and database development.
- Extensive hands-on experience in PostgreSQL.
- Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining:
- Stored Procedures
- Functions
- Triggers
- Database Views
- Experience in database performance analysis, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to create, analyse, and optimize database schemas and data models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Professional Competencies
- Excellent technical documentation and report-writing skills related to databases, schemas, and data architecture.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior client executives.
- Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities.
- Experience in managing and mentoring teams comprising more than 10 members.

Roles and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Conduct requirement gathering sessions and perform As-Is analysis of existing databases and IT systems while mapping them to the organization's business and functional processes.
- Design, develop, and implement large-scale enterprise databases based on business and technical requirements.
- Analyse large-scale national-level databases and redesign or restructure them to meet evolving business requirements.
- Redevelop, optimize, and modify legacy SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and database views to improve performance and generate the desired outputs.
- Design, modify, and maintain logical and physical data models, including defining data structures, relationships, constraints, and integrity rules.
- Ensure database security, data integrity, backup, recovery, and compliance with organizational security standards.
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to application developers, database administrators, system administrators, and other project stakeholders.
- Review database designs and implementation approaches to ensure adherence to industry best practices and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development, system integration, and deployment activities.
