We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector (Gear Grinding) to join our gear manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting ground gears, verifying dimensions, checking surface finish, and ensuring compliance with gear geometry standards before final dispatch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform dimensional, visual, and geometrical inspections of gears post-grinding.
- Inspect gear parameters including Lead, Profile, Pitch, Runout, and Surface Roughness (Ra).
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Bore Gauges, and Height Gauges.
- Operate gear measuring/testing equipment (CMM or Gear Roll Testers) and document inspection reports.
- Identify non-conforming parts, log rejections, and coordinate with the production team for root-cause analysis.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control SOPs and drawing specifications.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech preferred).
- Experience: 1–3 years of quality inspection experience in gear manufacturing, specifically gear grinding.
- Strong knowledge of gear geometry, GD&T symbols, and technical drawing reading.
- Hands-on proficiency with mechanical measuring instruments and gear measurement tools.
