About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Plumbing & Fire Engineer with 5–6 years of experience in the MEP consulting industry. The candidate will be responsible for designing, coordinating, reviewing, and delivering plumbing and fire protection systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and other building projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop plumbing and fire protection systems for MEP projects.
- Prepare and review detailed Plumbing & Fire layouts, design drawings, schematics, and calculations.
- Design systems including:
- Domestic water supply
- Soil, waste and drainage systems
- Storm water drainage
- Rainwater harvesting
- Pump room and water tank systems
- Fire hydrant systems
- Sprinkler systems
- Fire pump and fire protection systems
- Prepare BOQ, equipment schedules, technical specifications, and design reports.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and system sizing as required.
- Coordinate Plumbing & Fire services with HVAC, Electrical, Structural, and Architectural teams.
- Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and contractor drawings.
- Conduct design reviews and identify clashes or coordination issues.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable NBC, NFPA, IS Codes, and project/client requirements.
- Attend project coordination meetings and provide technical support.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and other consultants.
- Support site teams during construction, inspections, testing, and commissioning when required.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned projects and deliverables.
- Review work of junior engineers/designers and provide technical guidance.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Plumbing and Fire Fighting system design.
- Good understanding of NBC, NFPA, IS Standards, and MEP design practices.
- Experience in preparing design calculations and BOQs.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience with Revit MEP/BIM will be an added advantage.
- Strong MEP coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Candidates with relevant MEP design experience will be preferred.
Experience
- 5–6 years of relevant experience in Plumbing & Fire Engineering within an MEP consultancy, design firm, or building services industry.
- Experience in handling projects independently from design development through coordination and submission.

The ideal candidate should be technically strong, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of independently handling Plumbing & Fire design responsibilities while effectively coordinating with multidisciplinary MEP teams.
