We are looking for a proactive and field-oriented Site Locator to identify and generate new business opportunities by locating active construction sites, residential projects, commercial developments, and renovation projects in and around Jamshedpur. The candidate will be responsible for collecting project information, building relationships with contractors, builders, architects, and influencers, and supporting the sales team in lead generation. Similar site-locating roles typically involve identifying project locations, conducting field surveys, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit construction sites, renovation projects, and upcoming developments daily.
- Identify potential customers for plywood, laminates, doors, veneers, and allied products.
- Collect details of builders, contractors, architects, interior designers, and project owners.
- Maintain a database of active and upcoming projects.
- Share site information and leads with the sales team on a regular basis.
- Track project progress and update management on potential business opportunities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key influencers in the construction industry.
- Submit daily field visit reports and weekly activity summaries.
- Monitor competitor activities and market developments.
- Support sales promotions and local marketing initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum Higher Secondary (10+2); Graduation preferred.
- 1–3 years of field sales, site survey, site identification, or lead generation experience.
- Experience in the building materials, plywood, laminates, paint, hardware, sanitaryware, or construction industry will be preferred.
- Freshers with strong local market knowledge may also apply.
Required Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships with contractors, builders, and architects.
- Knowledge of local construction markets and project locations.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and mobile reporting applications.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in the field.
- Strong observation and reporting skills. Accurate field documentation and site information tracking are common requirements for locator roles.
Other Requirements
- Must own a two-wheeler with a valid driving license.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Jamshedpur and nearby areas.
- Ability to work in outdoor and field environments.

- Number of new sites identified per month.
- Number of qualified leads generated.
- Conversion of identified sites into business opportunities.
- Accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
- Builder/contractor/architect network development.
Reporting To: Area Sales Manager / Branch Manager
Preferred Industry Background: Plywood, Laminates, MDF, Veneer, Doors, Paints, Tiles, Sanitaryware, Cement, Steel, or other Building Material Industries.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
