Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead and manage the complete Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) execution for large-scale industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in project planning, execution, resource management, quality assurance, client coordination, and timely project delivery while ensuring compliance with safety and statutory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end MEP project execution from planning through commissioning and handover.
- Develop project execution strategies, resource allocation plans, and construction schedules.
- Manage Mechanical (HVAC, Fire Fighting), Electrical (HT/LT, Lighting, Power Distribution), and Plumbing systems.
- Coordinate with civil, architectural, structural, and external consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
- Review drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and identify design or execution issues proactively.
- Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and ensure timely completion within budget.
- Manage project budgets, cost control, billing, forecasting, and profitability.
- Conduct regular site reviews to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with approved drawings.
- Lead project meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and statutory compliance.
- Resolve technical challenges and provide engineering solutions during project execution.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, procurement activities, and material planning.
- Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Verify contractor bills, work measurements, change orders, and variation claims.
- Ensure proper testing, commissioning, snag closure, and final project handover.
- Prepare and present project status reports, MIS, dashboards, and progress updates to senior management.
- Mentor and lead project engineers, site engineers, supervisors, and MEP teams.
- Ensure documentation including RFIs, shop drawings, method statements, inspection requests, and project records are maintained accurately.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, Fire Fighting, Electrical, ELV, and Plumbing systems.
- Expertise in project planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of BOQ, estimation, budgeting, and cost control.
- Experience in contractor and vendor management.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
- Knowledge of testing, commissioning, and project handover procedures.
- Strong coordination with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, Microsoft Excel, and project reporting tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures and construction safety standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines.
