Job Description: Define the strategy, growth agenda and talent needs for the Advanced Technology Center. Accountable for operational activities to meet cost-to-serve, chargeability and recoverability targets.
Job Summary
Accenture Industry X is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerostructure Drawing Engineer to lead the creation, independent checking, and controlled release of detailed 2D engineering drawings for aerospace structural components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep technical expertise in aerospace drafting standards, rigorous application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing drawing practices governing both metallic and composite aerostructure programs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, validate, and release fully annotated 2D manufacturing drawings derived from 3D CAD models for aerostructure components and assemblies, ensuring strict compliance with applicable customer, program, and regulatory standards.
Author and verify detail, assembly, installation, interface, and sheet metal loft drawings in accordance with program-specific drafting requirements and airworthiness documentation standards.
Produce composite engineering drawings encompassing laminate stacking tables, ply boundary definitions, manual ply cross-sections, and composite ply books, adhering to composite design documentation protocols.
Generate system installation drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, and Avionics (ME&A) systems integrated onto primary and secondary aircraft structures, ensuring interface compatibility and design traceability.
Apply and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and customer-specific aerospace drafting standards, ensuring dimensional accuracy, functional interchangeability, and producibility of structural details.
Conduct rigorous first-article drawing reviews, tolerance stack-up validation, and formal drawing release activities within the established drawing approval workflow and configuration management framework.
Support Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes, including drawing revision management, change impact assessment, and traceability documentation in alignment with AS9100 quality standards.
Establish and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), part structures, and configuration data within enterprise PLM platforms including Siemens Teamcenter, ensuring data integrity and compliance with product lifecycle governance requirements.
Required Skills
Comprehensive understanding of aircraft structural architecture, including fuselage, wing, empennage, and control surface layouts, with awareness of load paths and structural design principles.
Demonstrated proficiency in aerostructure drawing generation, multi-view detailing, and annotation of complex structural assemblies across the full product lifecycle.
Solid understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes including machining, forming, assembly, and composite fabrication, with the ability to produce design-for-manufacture (DFM) compliant documentation.
Advanced proficiency in 2D drawing creation and multi-level detailing of machined components, sheet metal parts, and composite structural assemblies using CATIA V5 Drafting workbench.
Strong knowledge of:
GD&T principles and ASME Y14.5 standard, including tolerance analysis and functional dimensioning methodologies
Aerospace drafting standards including MIL-STD-100, ASME Y14.100, and OEM-specific documentation requirements.
Aerospace-grade materials, structural fastener systems, and surface treatment/finishing specifications applicable to metallic and composite structures
Siemens Teamcenter for PLM data management, part classification, BOM structuring, and drawing release workflows
Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage):
Working knowledge of CATIA V5 Part Design, Aerospace Sheet Metal Design (ASMD), and Generative Shape Design (GSD) modules for model-based detailing and design intent validation
Familiarity with CATIA V5 Composites Workbench for ply-based design, automated ply sequencing, and composite data extraction for manufacturing documentation
Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
Experience:
- MIL-STD-100, ASME Y14.100, and OEM: 4 years (Preferred)
- CATIA V5 Part Design, Aerospace Sheet Metal Design (ASMD): 4 years (Preferred)
- Generative Shape Design (GSD) modules: 4 years (Preferred)
- GD&T principles and ASME Y14.5 standard: 4 years (Preferred)
- aerospace OEM, Tier-1 supplier: 4 years (Preferred)
