Founded in 2016, Back to Village (B2V) is a holistic initiative committed to revitalizing rural communities through sustainable practices. At its core, B2V embraces Climate Smart Farming, advocating for agricultural techniques that prioritize environmental stewardship and resilience to climate change. Through training programs, knowledge sharing, and on-the-ground support, B2V empowers farmers to adopt innovative methods that optimize resource use and minimize environmental impact. Number of Position: 1 (One)
Location: Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh
Qualification: B.Sc Agriculture
Experience: Minimum 1 Year
Competencies:
- Basic knowledge of crop management, fertilizers, and pest control
- Ability to conduct field demonstrations, crop monitoring, and farmer training programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office and digital data collection tools.
- Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage open field crop production activities
- Monitor soil health, irrigation schedules, and nutrient management
- Identify and control pests, diseases, and weeds effectively
- Conduct field visits to monitor crop growth, identify issues, and recommend corrective measures.
- Maintain records of crop cycles, inputs, and yields
- Ensure optimal productivity and quality of crops
- Implement modern and sustainable farming practices
- Coordinate with local agricultural departments, extension agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Support monitoring, evaluation, and documentation of project outcomes and impact.
- Ensure timely execution of project activities in assigned areas.
- Maintain records of field activities, farmer interactions, and project achievements.
Expected Travel:
- Extensive travel within Saharanpur district and nearby project locations as required.
- Approximately 50–70% field travel for farmer interactions, monitoring, training, and project implementation activities.
Salary: Rs. 30,000/-
