An HVAC Site Engineer oversees the installation, testing, and commissioning of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems on-site. - Installation Supervision: Execute HVAC installations strictly according to approved construction drawings, equipment specifications, and industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, ISHRAE).
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to verify that ductwork, piping, insulation, and equipment (AHU, FCU, chillers) are installed properly and without defects.
- Testing & Commissioning: Lead the functional testing and troubleshooting of systems to ensure optimal air balancing, temperature control, and system efficiency.
- Cross-Discipline Coordination: Collaborate closely with civil, electrical, plumbing, and BMS (Building Management System) teams to prevent structural clashes and ensure seamless system
Administrative & Safety Duties
- Site Reporting: Prepare daily or weekly progress reports, track material consumption, and manage technical documentation like Inspection Requests (IRs).
- Client & Consultant Liaison: Attend site review meetings, interact with client engineers, and secure official approvals for completed work.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) protocols on-site, ensuring technicians wear required PPE and all safety equipment operates safely.
- Issue Resolution: Identify installation bottlenecks or design conflicts in the field and propose actionable, on-site engineering solutions.
