About the Role
ShishuVihar School, Parel, is looking for an experienced and passionate Cambridge Primary English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English language teaching methods, a nurturing approach toward young learners, and a genuine commitment to building strong foundational literacy skills in primary-grade students.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons for primary-level students in line with the school curriculum
- Build strong reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills appropriate to each grade level
- Assess and monitor student progress through regular tests, assignments, and classroom observation
- Prepare report cards and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and coordinate with school management on academic planning
- Stay updated with modern teaching methodologies and incorporate them into the classroom
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent; a degree in English (B.A./M.A. English) is preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience teaching English at the primary/junior school level
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
- Patient, creative, and child-friendly teaching approach
- Familiarity with Cambridge Board curriculum
- Basic computer proficiency for lesson planning and record-keeping
Salary
As per industry standards, commensurate with experience.
