We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Site Engineer to oversee the technical aspects of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects from inception to completion. The Solar Site Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe execution of solar installations, maintaining quality standards, and providing technical support on-site. This role requires a strong understanding of solar PV systems, electrical engineering principles, and construction management.
- Conduct detailed site surveys and assessments to determine optimal solar panel placement, system design, and interconnection requirements.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and project specifications to ensure compliance with design standards and local regulations.
- Supervise and manage on-site installation activities, including civil works, mechanical mounting, electrical wiring, and system commissioning.
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure all installations meet company standards, industry best practices, and safety regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC, OSHA).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, clients, and utility companies to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily progress reports, site logs, as-built drawings, and commissioning reports.
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures on site.
- Provide technical guidance and training to on-site teams and subcontractors.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, identifying potential delays or cost overruns and proposing corrective actions.
- Conduct performance testing and system commissioning to verify functionality and efficiency of the installed solar PV systems.
