Job Summary
AKSQubit Technologies is looking for Junior Hardware Design Engineers with a background in Electronics/Electrical Engineering to join our R&D and engineering team.
The role involves hardware and circuit design, PCB design, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and electronic product development. Candidates with hands-on academic projects, internships, or experience in hardware/PCB design are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in electronic hardware and circuit design for product development.
- Design and modify schematics and PCB layouts.
- Perform component selection based on datasheets, specifications, ratings, and availability.
- Work with analog and digital circuits, power supplies, sensors, interfaces, drivers, and control circuits.
- Support PCB prototyping, fabrication, assembly, soldering, and rework.
- Perform PCB bring-up, functional testing, and hardware validation.
- Use multimeter, oscilloscope, DC power supply, and other test equipment for testing and debugging.
- Troubleshoot circuit, PCB, power, signal, and assembly-related issues.
- Prepare and maintain BOMs, schematics, Gerber files, test reports, and design documentation.
- Coordinate with R&D, Production, Assembly, and Quality teams for product development and issue resolution.
Core Hardware Design Competencies
- Strong fundamentals in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Understanding of AC/DC circuits, voltage, current, resistance, power, and basic circuit analysis.
- Knowledge of resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, MOSFETs, ICs, relays, connectors, sensors, and regulators.
- Basic knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
- Understanding of power supply and DC-DC converter fundamentals.
- Basic understanding of GPIO, UART, I²C, SPI, RS-232/RS-485, CAN, or similar interfaces.
- Knowledge of PCB schematic capture, component placement, routing, footprints, layers, grounding, DRC/ERC, and PCB design practices.
- Familiarity with KiCad, Altium, Eagle, OrCAD, EasyEDA, or similar PCB design tools.
- Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and technical specifications.
- Basic understanding of SMT/SMD, THT, PCB fabrication, Gerber files, DFM/DFA, and ESD practices.
- Good understanding of hardware testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
Educational Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in:
- Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Electronics & Instrumentation / Instrumentation Engineering
- Or a closely related discipline
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with PCB design and hardware prototyping.
- Academic or personal projects involving embedded systems, Arduino, ESP32, STM32, sensors, or electronic circuits.
- Basic soldering and PCB troubleshooting skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a hands-on, on-site R&D environment.
