Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Cable Laying Technician to install, lay, and maintain fiber optic and network cables for broadband and telecommunication services. The candidate will be responsible for cable routing, trenching support, cable pulling, and ensuring quality installation as per company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lay and install fiber optic and network cables in designated areas.
- Assist in trenching, ducting, and cable routing activities.
- Pull, secure, and organize cables according to project requirements.
- Perform cable jointing and basic splicing support when required.
- Identify and report cable faults, damages, and installation issues.
- Ensure proper labeling and documentation of cable routes.
- Follow safety procedures during installation and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with supervisors and field engineers for project execution.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good condition.
- Support network maintenance and restoration activities during cable faults.
Requirements:
- ITI, Diploma, or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Experience in fiber optic cable laying or telecom infrastructure work is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of cable installation techniques and safety practices.
- Ability to work outdoors and travel to various project locations.
- Physically fit and capable of handling field work.
