Divisional Overview:
The Corporate finance team performs global and seamless Finance operations including Treasury and Capital Management, Trading and Product control, Financial reporting and disclosure, Management information and reporting for decision support, planning and development of financial strategy including, tax planning and reporting, investor relations management, and much more.
Business Unit Overview:
Treasury is responsible for funding the Firm and ensuring that adequate liquidity is maintained in all market conditions. It provides funding solutions to the businesses while managing attendant financial risks and minimizing interest and operational costs. There are 3 separate teams, each under the remit of a manager who reports into the Head of Treasury, Mumbai. These groups are:
Regulatory Reporting:
The Regulatory reporting team is responsible for monitoring of firm’s liquidity risk as per pre-defined models and is also responsible for preparation and analysis of liquidity stress tests as mandated by various regulators (LCR, NSFR, etc.) Nomura is in the process of implementing a Strategic Liquidity Platform which will become the calculation and reporting engine for Nomura’s internal and external liquidity metrics. The team is also responsible for various ad-hoc analysis required by various committees such as ALCO.
Liquidity Management :
The Liquidity Management team in India supports the EMEA, AEJ, Tokyo & US Liquidity management teams. The team is responsible for the preparation of the Firm’s liquidity risk reporting models, MIS and various regulatory packs. The team is also responsible for regular & ad-hoc analytics required for management.

- Long Term Debt Issuances
- Daily/Weekly MIS and Dashboards
- Liquidity Model Validation
- Daily and Weekly Liquidity reports

Position Specifications:
Post Graduate (Preferably CA or MBA from reputed institute)
Role & Responsibilities:
The candidate will be hands-on and take responsibility for various BAU reporting / analytics processes which underpin the internal or regulatory requirements for the consolidated group. The role will involve working closely with Treasury colleagues across Tokyo, New York, Mumbai and London and will involve:
- Daily management of liquidity positions across both regulatory and internal liquidity metrics, covering analytical assessment of DoD moves, trend analysis, forecasting etc.
- Ensure ongoing compliance of a wide array of liquidity limit frameworks and support review/recalibration of these frameworks
- Ad-hoc and proactive analytics and scenario analysis
- Assisting with Treasury management and business queries
- Development of MI and improvements in existing processes
- Frequent dialogue with regional Treasury counterparts and Wholesale business
- Assisting with business mitigation strategies
- Influence and collaboration across established Finance change and IT teams
- Drive Change agenda for wider Treasury Initiatives
- Ability to re-prioritise and modify approach when needed
- On-going business education on the Treasury liquidity risk policy and framework
