A Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machine operator sets up, operates, and monitors CNC milling machines to produce precision metal or plastic parts. They read blueprints, calibrate tools, perform routine maintenance, and inspect finished products for exact tolerance specifications.
- Machine Setup: Configure tools, fixtures, and workpieces on the VMC bed according to engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Programming: Load, read, and edit G-code and M-code programs to ensure precise machining paths and feeds.
- Operation: Start the machining cycle, monitor the process, and make real-time adjustments to offsets and speeds.
- Quality Control: Use measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify that finished components meet strict tolerance levels.
- Maintenance: Perform daily machine upkeep, clean work zones, and troubleshoot minor mechanical or tooling issues.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to shop floor safety regulations, including wearing protective gear and maintaining a safe hazard-free environment
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
